My Bloody Valentine 3D

So Adam, Bobby and I just saw my bloody valentine 3D, and I want to share a few of my thoughts. First, the 3D glasses were very impressive. They seem to filter out a certain portion of light each to allow for the 3D image from the double, but when wearing them normally you actually see normally (except the screen on bobby’s phone freaked out, and looking at other people wearing the glasses was AWESOME. putting two together showed that only a violet color was shared between the two of them, but you wouldnt be able to tell by just looking at one pair. Nonetheless, they pulled off the 3D effect quite nicely, although it felt like they kind of needed to be square with the screen to work perfectly (we were off on the side so they naturally went at a kind of angle).

The movie itself was epic. It was trashy, it was predictable, but it was incredibly fun. The gory mining pick was repeatedly displayed in full 3D glory, and blood splattering out into the audience was cool, in a really campy way. The audience really had fun with it, and there was much laughter and rejoicing overall. There were some moments that were so hilariously unbelievable that the only possible response is laughter… actually there were many such moments. At some point Adam yelled quite loudly “What the fuck!” and i think the sentiment was echoed throughout the theater. It is like seeing the rocky horror picture show- you have fun, even though it isnt scary.

Adam’s sole complaint about the movie was that the only pair of boobs to be seen were far from nice.
